ABOUT YOUR MEMBERSHIP AND DONATION
Your support helps the NYC Classical Guitar Society present world-class performances, educational programs, and community events that foster the appreciation of classical guitar throughout New York City.
Established on September 19, 2025, the John Olson Endowment honors John's visionary leadership as President of the Society from 2007–2024. During his 17-year tenure, he guided the Society through its formative years and helped establish it as a vibrant part of New York City's cultural landscape. The goal of the Endowment is to support the participation of artists in Society activities, with an investment strategy designed to preserve principal while generating income to fund those activities in a way that balances return with stability, helping to ensure the Society’s long-term sustainability.
When making your tax-deductible donation, you may choose to support either:
The John Olson Endowment — investing in the Society's long-term future by creating a permanent source of funding for artist participation and programming.
Support Programs — supports essential resources that make programs possible, including performing rights licensing fees (ASCAP & BMI), insurance, venue rentals, technology, marketing, and other operating expenses.
Please consider making a gift today. You will receive an email confirmation of your donation. Gifts of $100 or more will be recognized in our concert programs unless you prefer to remain anonymous.
